Dogs - Off leash call animal control 808-327-3588, after hours 808-935-3311. Dog bites/attack call 808-935-3311 or 911. File a police report, if not reported, it didn't happen. Reminder to all dog owners. Please leash your dogs while walking them in the community and bring bags to pick up and dispose of their waist.
Earthquake Repairs - From the county: Hawaii County's emergency work provisions allow certain necessary emergency repairs to begin immediately in qualifying situations. However, emergency authority does not waive the responsibility to notify the Building Division, submit required permit applications, obtain required engineering, or complete inspections. Structural work, including repairs involving foundations, retaining walls, and other components affecting the safety of a home or neighboring properties, must still meet applicable building codes.
Plans/drawings for the repair work must also be submitted to Kona Paradise Architectural Review Committee (ARC).
